Fitting Lay Flat Poly Bags to Containers

For a Round Container...
1. To calculate the width of the bag needed, multiply the diameter of the container by 3.14 and then divide by 2. Add 1" to this total for a looser fit.

2. To calculate the length of the bag needed, add 1/2 of the diameter to the height of the container and then add 5" to this total for overhang.

3. If tying bag, add 1/2 the diameter again to the bag length determined by step #2.

For a Square or Rectangular Container...
1. To calculate the width of the bag needed, add the width and depth of the container and then add 2" to this total for a looser fit.

2. To calculate the length of the bag needed, add the depth to the height of the container and then add 6" to this total for overhang.

3. If tying a bag, add 1/2 the depth to the bag length determined in step #2.
